J.I. Kleinberg tears words from magazines and stares at them until they turn into poems. She earned an MA from the University of California, Berkeley, and now lives in Bellingham, Washington, and on Instagram @jikleinberg. Chapbooks of her visual poems include how to pronounce the wind (Paper View Books, 2023) and Desire’s Authority (Ravenna Press Triple Series No. 23, 2023). Her full-length volume is titled she needs the river (Poem Atlas, 2024). Other chapbooks include The Word for Standing Alone in a Field (Bottlecap Press, 2023) and Sleeping Lessons (Milk & Cake Press, 2025).
