Janina Aza Karpinska is a British multidisciplinary artist with a heart for commemorative art she calls “commemorabilia,” which honors life achievements, milestones, memories, and character. Her commemorative work has appeared in: You Must Remember This, Greenbelt Festival, 2017; Stairway to Heaven, Cornerstone Community Centre, Hove, 2004; Journeys / Memories, Brighton Museum & Art Gallery, 1996. She holds an MA in creative writing and personal development from the University of Sussex. Channeling grief by making meaningful keepsakes for herself and friends is her creative mission, as is facilitating others to create their own.
