Willy Conley, of Hanover, Maryland, is a photographer/writer whose work appears in the books Photographic Memories (Gallaudet University Press 2023), Plays of Our Own (Routledge, 2022), The World of White Water (Kelsay Books, 2021), Visual-Gestural Communication (Routledge, 2019), Listening Through the Bone (Gallaudet University Press, 2018), The Deaf Heart (Gallaudet University Press, 2015), No Walls of Stone (Gallaudet University Press, 1992), and Deaf World (NYU Press, 2001). Born profoundly deaf, Conley is a retired professor of theatre at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. He holds an MA in playwriting from Boston University and an MFA in theatre from Towson University.
